CO2 liquefaction plant in Heek, Germany
Essential combination
This project features a PurePac Grand biogas upgrader with an integrated CO2 liquefaction system, a CarboPac-L Medium. Biogas upgrading including CO2 liquefaction technology is an essential combination nowadays, which is why three farms in Germany chose this essential combination. The biogas from their farms is collected in a central gas balloon in Heek (one of the farm locations) through underground pipelines. At this hub, we will upgrade the biogas into biomethane. Simultaneously, the CO2 from the upgrading process is recovered to produce food-grade liquid bio-CO2.
Biomethane & bio-CO2 via local collaboration
A project that exemplifies the power of local collaboration for the common good. The biogas upgrader will be positioned at one farm while pipelines will channel biogas from the other farms into a centralized gas balloon near the upgrader. Thereafter, the CO2 from the biogas upgrading process will be captured and purified.
